For someone who is about to become world’s first trillionaire, Bill Gates surely is one of the humble richest man on this planet with a knack for coding since he was a little kid. Here are some lesser known facts we bet you did not know about this programming genius.

  1. He does not have the knowledge of any foreign language. This, he says is one of his greater regrets in life.
  2. He says that he reads at least 50 books a year, which he says that is one of the best ways to learn new things in life.
  3. His musical attribute comes from his favourite musical bank, the Weezer and U2.
  4. He is more interested in the creation of Super Intelligence instead of Artificial Intelligence, even though he claims to fan of the both. He believes that robots will take over most of the high paying jobs by 2050.
  5. He claims that he would have become a researcher in Artificial Intelligence if Microsoft has not pulled off.
  6. He revealed that he is working on Microsoft’s Personal Assistant which will be like a museum of memories which will help people go back in time and pick on what to pay more attention to.
  7. In spite of his wealthy fortune, he will leave only about $10 Million each to his children because a great fortune bestowing upon them will be like making a favour.
  8. Gates owns a collection of writings named Codex Leicester of Leonardo Da Vinci which he bought in an auction at $30.8 Million in 1994.
  9. His plane named ‘Big Splurge’ used by him for air travel. He used to flew via coach before acquiring the plane.
  10. Gates is quite famous for his Porsche collection. The Porsche 959 Sports car was bought by him even before it was approved by the government 13 years ago.
  11. It is a known fact that Bill Gates is a college dropout, but the reason he left was to dedicate his life to Microsoft, in 1975. He challenged himself that he would become a millionaire at the age of 30 and he became at 31.
  12. He was once caught driving a car in New Mexico without a license plate and ran a red light. It happened two years after he dropped out of Harvard, in 1977.
  13. When the company first started, the new boss Gates would memorise the license plate numbers to keep an eye on his employees. Eventually, his company got bigger and he had to give it up.
  14. Bill gates scored a whopping 1590 out of 1600 on his SATs.
  15. He also read the entire ‘World book of Encyclopaedia’ series while he was just a teenager.
  16. He wrote his first codes on a general electric computer machine. He successfully wrote a code to play tic tac toe against the then computer.
  17. Bill gates accepted the #IceBucketChallenge from Mark Zuckerberg in 2014.
  18. Due to his charitable actions worldwide, Bill Gates was knighted by Queen Elizabeth of England. He is a world renowned Philanthropist.
  19. Despite their wealthy fortune, he signed a contract with Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffett in 2010 that half of their fortune will be donated to charity. This and many of this other charitable activities made him a philanthropist.
  20. He believes that the jobs of accountants, sales men, auditors, and tele marketers will become obsolete in the next 20 years as they will be handled by the robots. Most of his predictions proved right, for example, he has said that spam mails would be obliterated by, and it did.

The founder of Microsoft had a very complicated relationship with Steve Jobs. Once Jobs had made him wait outside out of spite. But before death, as his condition became worse, he kept a letter from Gates right beside his bed. This shows that in spite of his hatred he dearly respected and admired him. Even though his net worth is $79 Billion, reporters state that he will become the world’s first trillionaire very soon.
